The Story

A Tree the World Calls a Miracle

Moringa — Moringa oleifera — has grown in Indian soil for over four thousand years. In Tamil it is Murungai; in Hindi, sahjan. Long before nutrition labels existed, our grandmothers knew its worth: a tree that gives food in every season, from every part.

Ancient Tamil literature mentions Murungai in everyday cooking. Ayurvedic texts speak of it as shigru — a foundational plant for daily wellness. Today the world is rediscovering what village kitchens never forgot.

From a sapling in your backyard to drought-relief food in Africa, from a Sunday sambar pot to a New York smoothie — this is one tree, many stories.
